5. Lack of transparency and participation
Residents may also feel unsafe or abandoned if they are not informed about the plans or if they do not have a say in the process.

How do you notice this?
Residents can express their concerns through protests, legal challenges or political pressure.

What is the risk for the project developer?
This can lead to, for example:
1. Delay
2. Cost overrun
3. A bad reputation
4. Termination of a project.

Do you want to prevent this?
Then it is important to be proactive in communicating with the residents and involving them in the process.
Through transparency, communication and inclusion of residents in the process, acceptance of the project can be increased and resistance from residents can be reduced.
