GOW! Living Lab Webinar

The importance of early and intensive participation:

Ernest emphasized the crucial importance of involving target groups at an early stage of area development projects. As environmental law increasingly enforces this, it is essential to embrace participation and actively collaborate with all stakeholders. Reducing cold feet and creating a culture of collaboration are the foundation for success in this regard.

Innovative digital means of communication:

One of the highlights of the webinar was the introduction of innovative digital communication tools that increase citizen and stakeholder engagement. The use of image-oriented communication, such as interactive models and videos, plays a crucial role in conveying complex information in an accessible and engaging way. An example of this is the online visitor center on the island in Sneek, which was developed in collaboration with WDW and Van Wijnen.

Integrations and the use of Artificial Intelligence:

We also integrate third-party systems, such as the dutch "Bouwapp", which indicates when people may be inconvenienced by construction work. Moreover, nowadays everyone is aware of the rise of Artificial Intelligence. With the help of AI we can create personalized avatars for the Virtual Consultation Room that are present in the room. We also use text-to-speech to welcome people and give virtual tours, for example. This development strengthens the involvement of stakeholders.

Partners in participation

We see with this major integral issue that we cannot do this alone. We work together as a co-initiator with partners in participation. These are all providers of professional tooling, each with its own area of expertise and participation.
