Connection A8 & A9

Participation in the connection between A8 and A9. Realizing the Connection between A8 and A9 is a complex process involving various stakeholders and aspects. An important aspect that comes to the fore here is the Defense Line of Amsterdam. This monumental defensive ring is of great historical value and should therefore be protected as much as possible. The Landscape Plan for the A8-A9 Connection is therefore aimed at minimizing the impact on the Defense Line of Amsterdam.

To ensure that all stakeholders are involved in the project, the Province of North Holland has decided to set up a participation process. The purpose of this process is to inform those involved about the proposed plans and to hear their views on the project. It is of great importance to communicate the complex information surrounding the Landscape Plan in an understandable way.

Realization connection A8 &A9

To achieve this, the Province of North Holland has enlisted the help of experts in the field of participation and communication. With the help of a digital Area Participation Platform it is possible to share information and create involvement in an interactive way. On this platform, the possible measures and design choices are made transparent with the help of realistic globe photos and information points.

The digital platform has now been realized and will be launched in mid-December 2021. In this way, the Province of North Holland hopes to properly inform and involve all stakeholders in the project. By creating participation in this way, the interests of all parties involved are taken into account and support for the project is increased.
